nyc appears to have gotten hold of me. again.
one day I’ll be able to tell you why I had to leave London. and what I was doing there. one day this news might be delivered from London, again, or maybe here, again again.
right now it’s hard to say.
all I know is I’m still here.
and I’ve begun working. at a humble but elegant neighborhood place in the West Village called 10 Downing Street. and strangely, coincidentally, ironically enough: Jonnatan Leiva, the chef, hails from San Francisco. if you want to know what my menu looks like, check out my last set of dessert poems. they were my homework for the interview.

and it looks like I’ll be here for a while. until Spring I imagine, maybe longer. I’ve been grounded by a severe back issue. physical therapy, acupuncture & pain medication are my current recipe for recovery. not to mention love & support from family & friends.
that’s the news, as I know it to be, right now. but, as the expression goes, “If you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.”
